How Billing Works

Shopify Native Billing

Solixync uses Shopify's built-in billing:

  • Charges appear on your Shopify invoice
  • Uses your existing Shopify payment method
  • Managed through your Shopify account
  • No separate payment setup needed

Billing Cycle

  • Monthly: Charged every 30 days from upgrade date
  • Yearly: Charged annually from upgrade date
  • Free plan: No charges

Usage Tracking

Your dashboard shows:

  • Images processed this month
  • Remaining quota (free plan)
  • Days until reset

The usage bar changes color as you approach your limit:

0-69% Green Plenty of quota
70-89% Yellow Approaching limit
90%+ Red Near or at limit

Upgrading

To Upgrade

  1. Go to Billing in the app
  2. Click Upgrade to Unlimited
  3. Choose Monthly or Yearly billing
  4. Approve the charge in Shopify
  5. Unlimited processing starts immediately

Approval Process

When you upgrade:

  1. Solixync creates a charge request
  2. You're redirected to Shopify's approval page
  3. Review the amount and billing terms
  4. Click Approve to confirm
  5. Return to Solixync with unlimited access

If You Decline

If you decline the charge:

  • You stay on the free plan
  • No charge is made
  • You can try upgrading again anytime

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing Subscription

Go to Billing to see:

  • Current plan (Free or Unlimited)
  • Billing interval (Monthly/Yearly)
  • Next billing date
  • Usage this period

Changing Billing Interval

To switch between monthly and yearly:

  1. Contact support or
  2. Cancel and re-subscribe with new interval

Note: If switching from monthly to yearly, the change takes effect at your next billing date.

Canceling

To downgrade to the free plan:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

What happens:

  • You keep unlimited access until the end of your billing period
  • After that, you revert to 20 images/month
  • Your processed images and jobs remain accessible

Usage & Quotas

What Counts as an Image?

Each source image you process counts as 1 image:

  • Processing 1 image for 5 platforms = 1 image used
  • Processing 10 images for 3 platforms = 10 images used
  • Failed images = 0 images used
  • Retries = 0 additional images used

Monthly Reset

Your quota resets monthly:

  • Based on your subscription start date
  • Unused images don't roll over
  • Counter shown on dashboard

Hitting Your Limit

On the free plan, if you reach 20 images:

  1. You'll see a "Quota exceeded" message
  2. New processing jobs are blocked
  3. Existing jobs continue to completion

Options:

  • Wait for monthly reset
  • Upgrade to Unlimited

Billing FAQ

When am I charged?

  • Monthly: Every 30 days from upgrade
  • Yearly: Every 365 days from upgrade
  • Free: Never charged

Where do charges appear?

On your Shopify invoice under "App charges" alongside other app subscriptions.

Can I get a refund?

Refund requests are handled through Shopify. Contact Shopify support or our support team for assistance.

What if my payment fails?

Shopify handles payment failures. Your subscription continues with a grace period while Shopify retries the charge.

Is there a trial period?

The free plan serves as your trial - 20 images/month at no cost, with full features.

Can I upgrade mid-month?

Yes. Your unlimited access starts immediately. No proration for partial months.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your processed images and job history remain accessible. Only your quota changes (back to 20/month).
